Dr Jagruti Mistry completed her B.D.S from Nair hospital Dental College, Mumbai in 1995 and her M.D.S. in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from Government Dental College & Hospital, Mumbai in 1999. Immediately after completing her postgraduation, she joined the teaching faculty at Government Dental College & Hospital, Mumbai where she served as a Lecturer for 2 years. She subsequently joined S.M.B.T. Dental College where she currently holds the position of Professor, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. She also holds a diploma in acupuncture techniques for pain management. She has conducted workshops on AIDS and protocol for dental management of affected patients . Her research interest includes management of nerve injuries. Besides her carrier in academics she has been in exclusive private practice of oral and maxillofacial surgery since 1999. She is attached to Jeevan Vikas Hospital, Andheri, and consults at several private clinics in mumbai. At the Smile and Profile Clinic, she takes care of difficult extractions, removal of impacted teeth, surgical orthodontics, trauma and other minor oral surgery including surgical implantology.
